The concept of distributed control is changed to centralized control through microprocessor based devices. Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) plays a key role in the changed environment.

There are number of good reasons why PLC has become so popular in the industry. Few of the key advantages of PLC are:

* This is a programmable device. Any control logic one can develop and modify by keying in few lines of computer instruction (Program)
* Whenever you are replacing any sub-system of your existing process by a new one possibly from a different make or upgrading with a newer technology device, you no more need to change the control system of the module. Only modifying the program is what you need to do.
* Expansion of your process devices merely need adding the required Input/ Output devices in the same PLC and updating your program to cater the control need of the expansion.

With passage of time few things happened:
* Standards are set by international bodies so that PLC from any manufacturer can work in tandem with PLC from any other manufacturer.
* The reliability of the PLC devices has gone extremely high
* The price has come to such a level that makes it affordable to even smaller industries
* Connectivity with computers became more and more easier resulting in computer based operator interfacing in addition to maintenance of historical data base

Development of Guar Gum biscuits and its fortification with natural GRAS ingredients fit for diabetic patients. Gaur Gum helps in lowering the Glycemic Index by forming a gel in the gastrointestinal tract of the patient and dried orange peel powder is being used for the Vitamin C fortification and increase in fiber content of the biscuit.
SUMMER TRAININGS ATTENDED :
1. Attended summer training at Lucknow Producers Co-operative Milk Union Ltd. (Parag Dairy) in various aspects of quality control from 1st July 2009 to 30th July 2009.
2. Attended summer training at FICCI Analysis and Research Centre, New Delhi from 22nd June 2010 to 23rd July 2010 for an intensive experience in Microbiology, Instrumentation and Chemical laboratory for testing food samples.
