    - Mini Project : STUDY AND ANALYSIS OF 220/132,132/33KV SUBSTATIONS
    & POWER FACTOR IMPROVEMENT METHODS

    Substations are used to distribute the power to the consumers. Constant power factor maintenance is very important in the substation. so the power factor may reduced which is proportional to the load. So that voltage will increase, current will decrease and power factor will increase. If we use capacitor banks distribution system reliability increases. Interruptions will be less.
    - Main Project : PC BASED CENTRAL MONITORING SYSTEM FOR SUBSTATIONS
    Substations are taking major role in the power generation, transmission and distribution. Substations are used to monitor the parameters like voltage, current, frequency, load and temperature by manually. Sometimes due to human negligence the transformer in the substation may burn due to overload, over temperature and high input voltage. Pc based central monitoring system for substations is used not only monitor the parameters but also control. Data also stores for every two seconds so that regularity will be more. By using this system we can reduce the fault interruptions time so that system reliability will increase. More accuracy will be there if we use this system.

    Project Profile :
    Project Name : Plastic currency
    The main objective of this project is to provide authentication for employees entering in to the company by using Radio Frequency Identification Technology or contact less smart card technology. This system is mainly based on MIFARE contact less protocol, communicating at 13.56MHz frequency between employee tags and the contact less reader module. In this system we are using AT89S52 microcontroller to which RFID-Reader is interfaced via RS-232 serial communication. The entire system is placed at the entrance of the company. The Reader identifies the company employees, who are consisting of RFID-tags as their identity cards. The employees, who are containing proper tags, are allowed into the company by opening the doors through the DC motor which is interfaced to the microcontroller. The LCD is also interfaced to microcontroller to display any message according to microcontroller operation.

    TECHNICAL APPROACH
    For the Hardware construction microcontroller 89S52, ULN 2003, Max232, LCD display, DC Motor RFID-Reader and Tags and other discrete devices are required.
