A Bachelor degree (Attested Certificate) with 8 years of experience with DCRP Protection authority certificate.

· 11KV, 33KV OHL installation and related works.
· 11KV, 33KV Cable Laying and related works.
· 11KV, 33KV Outdoor substation works.

Qualification: The candidate shall be having minimum a degree from a recognized university in electrical engineering. Any additional qualification or courses in Electrical protection system is preferable. He shall be capable of carrying out electrical protection calculations, short circuit studies, CT calculations etc. This shall be verified during interview and practical test.

Experience: Minimum 8 years experience in a reputed firm(s) in electrical engineering works. Out of the 8 years he shall possess at least 5 years experience in testing and commissioning of protection system. Experience in testing and commissioning of high voltage transmission system, and high voltage substations etc. is a must. He should have a good knowledge of latest electrical protection relays and testing equipments

DCRP Electrical Authority The protection engineer shall possess DCRP Protection authority certificate. He shall be familiar with Electrical Safety Rules & and electrical permit systems.

MAIN PROJECT :
DIGITAL MONITORING CUM CONTROL OF POWER SYSTEM USING PC
The main concept involved in the system is to monitor various parameters of the power system digitally through computer. In addition to the monitoring and displaying the parameter value through computer screen, control action is also performed. For example, the load applied to the power system is monitored continuously through CT, since the system is designed to deliver a maximum current of one amp, and whenever the load current exceeds more than one amp, immediately the computer breaks supply to the load through relay contact and protects the power system burning due to the over load. In addition to this, the failure cause is also displayed, i.e. “the system is failed due to the over load”. Like wise all the failure causes including fuse blown information will be displayed. Four important parameters are considered and outputs of all these circuits are fed to A/D converter, after converting in to digital, the parameter values are fed to computer through parallel port, and the program is prepared ‘C’ language.
