GENERAL NURSING
Duration of the Course
The Diploma course in General Nursing and Midwifery shall be of 3 years and 6 months duration. Six months exemption in training shall be given during the IIIrd Year (in Midwifery) to those :
* Who have undergone ANM training of 18 Months or 2 years recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
* LHV’s with 2 ½ years of training recognized by Indian Nursing Council. Therefore the duration of training for LHV’s shall be of 3 years.

Exam Pattern
General Nursing Midwifery Examination
There will be two Examinations every year. One Annual examination in August and supplementary examination in February. Theory examination will be held in the identified centers and practical examination will be held in the clinical area of respective institutions. Examinations will be held both in the morning and the after noon sessions.

B.Sc. NURSING
Admission Eligibility Criteria relaxed with regard to % for ANM, GNM & B.Sc. Nursing Programme:
* A.N.M : The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of class X.
* G.N.M : 10 + 2 class passed or its equivalent preferably with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects with aggregate of 40% marks.
* B.Sc. : 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English with minimum of 45% aggregate marks (PCBE).
