Project Title :- Dry Type Transformer
About Project :-
My project is about the transformer which is dry type in nature “Dry type” simply means it is cooled by normal air ventilation. The dry type transformer does not require a liquid such as oil or silicone or any other liquid to cool the electrical core and coils. The transformer case is ventilated to allow air to flow and cool the coil (coils).
Responsibilities :-
- Collected information about various parts of dry type transformer i.e. about its construction features, working & its advantages over oil type transformer.
- Submitted the report about dry type transformer.
- Presented the seminar on my project in the college
Learning out comes :-
- Gain Knowledge about various type of transformer like power transformer, instrument transformer.
- Learnt about ac/dc locomotive
Project (ongoing)
Tenure of Assignment : - 6 months
Project Title : -
Indirect field oriented speed control of three phase induction motor using current regulated scheme with MATLAB.
About Project :-
My this project is about controlling speed of three phase induction motor. As there are many advantages of induction motor over dc machine but their control is not as easy as dc machine because rotor quantities are not accessible which are responsible for torque production. So we use field oriented concept so that flux producing and torque producing components of stator current can be controlled independently.
Responsibilities :-
- To collect information about speed control of induction motor.
- Studied all the methods of speed control & learnt to control the vector control of induction motor using MATLAB.
- Presented Seminar on the topic & submitted report.
Learning out comes-
- Learn to draw simulink model in MATLAB Software
- Learnt about working of induction motor as direct current motor (DC motor).
