Company profile :
Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL) was established by the Government of Tami Nadu during early eighties to produce Newsprint and Printing & Writing Paper using bagasse, a sugarcane residue, as primary raw material. The Company commenced production in the year 1984 with an initial capacity of 90,000 tonnes per annum. Over the years, the production capacity has been increased to 2,45,000 tonnes per annum and the Company has emerged as the largest bagasse based Paper Mill in the world consuming about one million tones of bagasse every year. The Company is in the process of implementing the Mill Expansion Plan for increasing the capacity to 4,00,000 tonnes per annum from July 2010.

Measuring and Transmitting Vital body signs using MEMS Sensor and Heart Beat Sensor.
1. MEMS Sensor ( Micro Electro Mechanical System ) :
MEMS as compact electronic device designed and developed for human body moments by install on a garment work by the body.
Among many vital body signs like walking and running have been monitored. The Electronic components have been placed in the form of ARF ( Automatic Radio Frequency ) shirt to monitor body signs & collect data from various subject with ARF shirt have been transmitted by RF transmission & monitored in the real time.
The MEMS Sensor has the following hardware requirements to accomplish the required critical parameters. They are
Transmitter : Input Sensor
Channel : Accelerometer
Receiver : LCD Display Screen.

2. Heartbeat Sensor :
Heartbeat sensor that gives beat rate continuously with the use of Infrared ray which is transmitted through the finger of human body. Blood tissues have different absorbing level of light. Then it will be detected by photo detector and then subjected to microcontroller for further process. At the receiver side heartbeat rate can be observed on the PC using dotnet software.
The Heartbeat Sensor has the following hardware requirements to accomplish the required critical parameters. They are
Transmitter : Input sensors , OP-AMP , and Encoder
Channel : Photo Diode, Photo Transistor
Receiver : LCD display screen, Decoder.
