Title : Heat and Flow transfer analysis through a PINFIN
Organization : S.D.M.C.E.T Dharwad
Description: The objective is to study the CFD software and analyze the Flow and Heat transfer through a pin fin. The results are then compared experimentally and theoretically. We use the 3 type material namely Brass, Aluminum, and Copper. Test setup has a Brass rod (fin) kept across a duct, with one side open. One end of fin (Outside) is heated. Heat flows from this heater end to free in this duct. The thermocouples are fitted along the length of fin. Another end of duct is connected suction blower. This blower has outlet pipe with control valve, orifice meter. A manometer with mercury is also provided to measure pressure drop across orifice meter. Finally we compare the practical result and CFD result.
