Organization : VASAVI POWER SERVICES PVT LTD.
Scope : Installation & services of power plant equipments.
Designation : Mechanical Engineer (services).
First Project : Generator replacement at TNEB 101mw CCPP at Kuttalam.
Period : April 2011 to till date.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Erection & Commissioning of BHEL make, 1*67MW generator.
- Checking of alignments, clearances include Radial, Axial, Thermal, Bearing ID, OD, Interference, Side & Top oil, air seal, Air gap, oil guard, Fan guard, Magnetic centre line, coupling Run out values.
- Conducting the Test’s such as DP test, hydro test, IR, DC winding resistance, RSO, AC impedance, visual test’s.
- Making of Protocols for above tests & values and Co-ordination with QA/QC test’s for inspection.
- Preparation of documentation after completion of project.
- Responsible for various commissioning activities for TG including oil flushing and steam blowing
- Co-ordination with clients for various project requirements.

- Planning, co-ordination and supervising of manpower during installation, commissioning and maintenance activities.

Roles and Responsibilities :
- Erection and Commissioning of BHEL make 1*20MW and China make 2*135 MW (Shanghai) STG Sets, Condenser and it’s Auxiliary
- Auxiliaries include HP, LP, heaters, deaerator, main oil tank, MOP, EOP,AOP,JOP, coolers, filters, CEP,GSE, vaccum pumps, main steam valves.
- Checking of alignments, clearances include Radial, Axial, Thermal, Bearing ID, OD, Interference, Side & Top oil, air seal, Air gap, oil guard, Fan guard, Magnetic centre line, coupling Run out values.
- Involving test package preparation.

- Involving in final punch list clearance and final box up.
- Study of the entire heat flow system, oil flow system, Isometric drawings and equipment layouts.
- Planning, co-ordination and supervising of manpower during installation, commissioning and maintenance activities.
- Responsible for the day-to-day running of the site activities. This includes recording and maintaining site materials and Tools inventory.
- Giving of advances and monthly salaries to workers in the site.
