Description : The basic idea behind this project was to make a device, which automatically traces the light and rotates towards the maximum incidence of light. The major components were Solar panel, Microcontroller, IC and Stepper motor. The use of this device is a boon for equipments which need to follow the sun.
2] Title : An intelligent train engine
Tools used : Micro controller Programming, Soldering
Description : The idea behind this project was to help an engine to track a red signal on its tracks and give feedback to gradually decrease its speed and to stop automatically at some distance from the signal. If signal changes to green from red before engine stops, the device helps to cross the signal with low speed. It had transmitter circuit with IC 555 as main component and a receiver circuit, which contains microcontroller 89C51, IR sensor TSOP 1738, vtg regulator series 78XX and current driver chip ULN2003A.
Other Projects 1] Manufacture a PCB from a given Copper clad and makes connections of a circuit.
2] To use Logic gates as Multiplexer, Demultiplexer, Half adder and Full adder.
3] A self initiated project in MS Access for Payroll System of a company.
Summer Training
1] At Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL), Patna
Academic time : 3rd year Duration: 6 weeks
Title : “Overview of Mobile Communication”
Description : During my training, I got the exposure of various departments viz RF, Switching, Transmission, OMCR, OSP, Project / Wire line. I learned, in detail, about Switching department and its various components viz BTS, BSC, MSC, GMSC, MUX/ DEMUX. I also learned about billing process. I went for a drive-test too. I successfully completed my training and submitted project report which includes the study of major topics regarding mobile Communication (viz Generations, Signalling, Mobile Station, GSM, CDMA, Transmission, Switching, EVDO- introduction).
2] At Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL)
Academic time : 2nd year Duration: 4 weeks
Title : “Overview & Working of Telephone Exchange”
Description : During my training, I got the exposure of various departments viz Transmission, Switching, MDF, Battery & Power plant, and their functions. I studied in detail about Transmission, Battery, Power plant & MDF department. I compiled and submitted a report which includes the study of major topics of Telephone exchange viz Battery & Power plant, MDF, Switching, Transmission, Dotsoft and basic communication principle.
