- I done my mini project on the topic “Production, isolation, purification of amylase from different carbon sources and its characterization” at azyme biosciences, bang lore.
- I done my main project on the topic “Effect of methyl jasmonate on the production of catechol oxidase in solanum lycopersicum : at azyme biosciences, banglore.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION :-
1. Catechol enzyme of the oxide reductase class that catalysis the reaction between catechol and oxygen to yield benzo quine and water. It is a complex of copper contain protens that acts also on a variety of substituted catechol. Presence of oxygen, catechol oxidase catalyzes the removal of electrons and hydrogen’s from catechol, a phenolic compound found in plant cells.
Chetachol oxidase is hydrolytic enzyme is produced by a large number of microorganisms. The production of cetachol oxidase enzyme was carried out by using cetachol as a substrate. The enzyme was purified by heating at optimum temperature, Salt precipitation, dialysis and Ion exchange chromatography (DEAE Cellulose). The enzyme activity and Specific activity was more when M9 media was used using fructose as carbon source. The Optimum temperature was recorded as 37 C and pH as 8.8. The molecular weight of the isolated enzyme which was determined by SDS-PAGE. The enzyme was more stable at the alkaline pH than at the acidic one.

The aim of the project is isolation, purification and characterization of amylase from bacillus species and a comparative study based on Ph.Amylase is an enzyme complex which breaks down starch into glucose and maltose and dextrins.Amylase is most abundant products in the biosphere. Amylase has various industrial applications.Amyalse is used as glucose or maltose in food biotechnology are absorbed into their cell surface.
