Project Title : “Enhanced Oil Recovery from a Heavy Oil Reservoir”
Project Objective : To conduct a thermal numerical simulation (using CMG-STARS) of the heavy oil reservoir and assessing the suitable Thermal Enhanced Oil Recovery technique (Steam flooding/cyclic steam injection) based on the comparison of production profiles obtained from the simulation results. Also to study the effect of fractures on the production profiles, considering Dual porosity/Dual permeability models. Software used : CMG- BUILDER, STARS.
