    The Integrated Nutrition & Health program (INHP) is in its third phase now & is one of the largest public health programs in India. It focuses on pregnant & lactating women & children under the age of 6 years. It aims at capacity of the communities to demand improved services & build accountability, advocy to influence policies, replacate good practices of health & nutrition programs. It also focuses on providing technical, managerial & operational support to Government of India’s program like ICDS.RCH.NHRM.
    JOB PROFILE
    Job Title : Programme Officer
    Project : Integrated Nutrition & Health project (INHP) –III

    JOB SUMMERY
    The Program Officer is a member of the INHP – III district team or signal member responsible to achieve desirable results of the INHP –III program in the assigned Districts/s.The program officer is primarily responsible to lead INHP-III program consolidation activities and replication processes in the assigned districts/s to achieve the impact committed in the project document. The program officer will closely work with stakeholders at the Distric,block and sector level and partner NGO’s for committed results and provide necessary support in consolidating the effort of this program’s previous phase (RACHANA-I).S/He is responsible for facilitating replication process in non care Blocks in the assigned district and support functionaries in expanding RACHANA interventions’/he is also responsible for program management and achieving results in a defined geographical area, wherever it is applicable.
    RESPONCIBILITIES & TASKS
    - Design, impliment and support program consolidation activities of INHP-III Interventions across program area in the assigned District.
    - Coordinate with ICDS, RCH functionaries and facilitate reaplication of RACHNA I good practices in non CARE block (New ICDS blocks, Sectors & AWCS) in the Assigned Districts.
    - Assess training needs of ICDS, RCH and PRI functionaries on Child Health and Nutrition Innervations of INHP-III, prepare training colander and support them in completing CB activities and follow-up activities.
    - Regularly monitor program process by collecting and analyzing data from various sources and facilitate action by systems for improvement.
    - Support partner NGO’s in transferring necessary skills and technical knowledge on critical child health and nutrition interventions and effective program implimentation.
    Qualifications & competencies
    - Master’s degree in Social Science Disciplines.
    - Master degree in Business management with HR (Pursuing) 1sem 62 % in Sikkim maniple uni.Distance Edu.
    - Total nine and half years of experience and at least three and half year’s experience of facilating implementation of national program at district level.
    - Strong facilitation and people mobilization skills, especially in mobilizing Government systems.
    - Abilities to use computers and manage data independently.
    - Ability to travel extensively to block and villages, and gather first hand information on program quality.
    - Demonstrated ability to mobilize Government. System to strengthen national programs.
    - Facilitating training on health and nutrition (especially training of trainers).
    - Experience of working with NGO’s and GOVT sector.
    - Experience of block level implementation and problem solving.
    AUTHORITY :
    Spending Authority – As per the authority delineation of CARE.
    Contacts/Key Relationship
    Government counterpart at districtlevel,WCD,Administration,Zilaparisad,PRI’s etc,NGOcounterparts in the project area, state program Representative, Monitoring & evaluation officer, Commodity Technical Assistance Officer, Program Support manager, Administrative Assistant.
    Supervision
    Provide supportive supervision to the NGO counterpart staff members as per the project requirements.
