    2. “Research Trainee” at RK Biotech Pvt Ltd, Chennai,India.
    (2004-2005)

Major Courses Studied during P.G Programme :
Microbial Genetics, Recombinant DNA Technology, Immunology, Cell&Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Analytical Methods in Biology, Animal Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Computer Applications
    .
Currently doing research projects in avesthagen :
    1. Marker-assisted selection of Maize for high oil content
    1. Analysis of QTL mapping in Maize which responsible for OIL and Growth
Main objectives of this project which involves to

    - Identify and define quantitative trait loci (QTL) / markers associated with high oil content and yield in a set of lines provided by Godrej / core collections.
    - Evaluation of the genetic relationships between kernel oil concentration QTL and grain yield. (Notably to check whether oil QTL does not have a direct detectable negative effect on grain yield). This will help in fine mapping of favorable QTL and marker assisted selection to increase level of oil to a certain point without a significant reduction in grain yield.
    - Perform fine mapping of oil QTL and identify specific molecular markers that would be useful for marker-assisted selection of oil QTL and yield.
    - Marker assisted selection / breeding using various strategies so as to develop lines having high oil content without reduction in yield / increase in yield.
In this objective I have completed marker screening that is specific for high oil and high yield QTL’s.
Projects completed at RK BIOTECH :
Production of Mosquito larvicides from “Bacillus thuringiensis Israelensis”BTI toxin against to the species of Aedes aegypti ,Culex quinquefaciatus and Anaphelos by using “Molecular Technology”.
Isolation and purification of Cry genes from Bacillus thuriengiensis Israeliens.Comparitive study between different cry genes using molecular markers.
    M.Sc Research Project :
“RAPD Analysis of Aromatic medicinal plant citronella manjusha and Bio –13 varieties”
    Project summery :
Citronella is mainly propagated by slips. When most of the varieties are propagated vegetatively it will very difficult to differentiate either between varieties or clone. Therefore, there has to be apply very strong method to identify variation between clones or varieties. Keeping this fact in view this project work was carried with the following objective in C.winterianus varieties “Manjusha” and “Bio-13”.
    - Standardization of different protocols for Isolation of good quality genomic DNA.
    - Optimization of PCR amplification Conditions
    - Analysis of Gel Profiles
    - Estimation of Genetic Variance between Citronella grass ( Cymbopogon winterianus var
    - Bio-13 and Manjusha) varieties using RAPD Markers”.
Genetic diversity that was noticefied among the varieties would be useful in breeding programs and to study their genetic relatedness. Results of this investigation reported here give an idea of existing genetic diversity and genetic relationships that comes in future breeding programmes in Citronella.

Company : JC BIOTECH PVT Ltd
    Place : Ongole, AP
    Brief Summary
SP is an anti-inflammatory, proteolytic enzyme isolated from the microorganism 5. This enzyme is naturally present in the silkworm intestine and is processed commercially today through fermentation. This immunologically active enzyme is completely bound to the alpha 2 macroglobulin in biological fluids. Histologic studies reveal powerful anti-inflammatory effects of this naturally occurring enzyme. The use of medications, which block cholesterol biosynthesis, may eventually damage the liver and compromise anti-oxidant status of the eyes, lungs and other soft tissues. Serrapeptase is a powerful proteolytic enzyme formula that stands alone in fighting the combined threats of fibrin, mucous and inflammation in the body. Serrapeptase fights fibrin build-up in the cardiovascular system, organs, muscle tissue, and throughout the entire human body.

    Brief Summary
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 fatty acid. It is found in cold water fatty fish, such as salmon. It is also found in fish oil supplements, along with eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Vegetarian sources of DHA come from seaweed. DHA is also commercially manufactured from microalgae. It can be synthesized from alpha-linolenic acid or obtained directly from fish oil. Crypthecodinium cohnii and another of the genus Schizochytrium.
Your body needs DHA for the proper functioning of your brain as an adult, and for the development of your nervous system and visual abilities during the first 6 months of life. In addition, omega-3 fatty acids are part of a healthy diet that helps lower risk of heart disease.
