Job Responsibilities :
- Plan, organize and direct departmental activities with special attention to all aspect of preparation of therapeutic diet for patients.
- Check and ensure the quality/palatability of normal food prepared for the patients, are in accordance with the high standards maintained by the hospital
- Conduct diet consultations with patients and advise patients regarding the diet therapy to be applied during and subsequent to treatment.
- Workout caloric content etc. of different food items, and make entries made in the diet sheets regarding patient diet to oversee and assist in the maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and food service area.
- Visit the patient’s floor and keep personal contacts with individual patients in regard to their dietary requirements on a day-to-day basis.
- Implement work standards and monitor compliance by the outsourced agency.
- Monitor and check whether compliance to sanitation procedures are being followed in the kitchen, and personal hygiene requirements are consistent
- Update diet sheet and taste food
- Plan weekly menu.
- Planning & monitoring RT & special feeds.
- Nutritional assessment & diet counseling to the patients.
- Supervising & executing every diet during the meal services.
- Making regular changes in the menu & giving required choices to the patient as per diet.
- Training F&B and kitchen staff on regular basis.
- Regular analysis of feed back forms and taking preventive measures as per patient’s feedback.
- Daily briefing of Dietitians & stewards about handling food, importance of therapeutic diet etiquettes of service of meals.
- Regular check of hygiene & sanitation in kitchen area.
- Maintaing workbook, sensory Evaluation, Food tasting registers and preparing Microsoft Excel diet sheets.
