- Having experience of Three years and six months in R&D (Ophthalmic Optics), Two years of Teaching at graduate (B.Sc) level and One year of Teaching at school level.
- Working as an Optical Engineer in R&D Division at “Appasamy Associates”, Chennai, India from Jan’2009 to till date. Designing of Ophthalmic Optical Instruments for Cornea and retinal problems..
Projects handled :
- Designed optics for Noncontact Tonometer for Intraocular pressure measurement (Ophthalmology) using optical system design software “Zemax”.
- Designed Nd :YAG Laser delivery optics with a spot size of ten micron (Using Zemax).
- Current project; Patterned Scanning Laser Photocogulator. It consists of Second Harmonic Generation of Nd :YAG laser with zoom system; plus scanning mirror in order to generate different geometrical patterns of spot size 50 to 500 microns (Using Zemax). It used to deal Diabetic Retinopathy.
- Last two months taking in charge for Diode pumped Nd :YAG second harmonic Green laser 532nm 5Watt module alignment.
- Worked as an Optical Engineer in R&D Division at “Biotech Vision Care Pvt. Ltd.”, Ahmedabad, India from Oct’2007 to Jan’2009. Nature of work is to design and manufacture of Intraocular lenses (IOL) for Cataract problem.
- Worked as a Guest Lecturer for Two years (B.Sc level) at Government Tirumagal Mills College, Gudiyattam, Tamilnadu, India from Aug’2003 to March’2005.

Optical Coherence Tomography is a new type of optical imaging modality, which performs high resolution, cross-sectional tomographic imaging of the internal microstructure in material and biological systems by measuring backscattered or back reflected light. This project aim is to Design and Development of Swept Source Optical Coherence Tomographic system.
Duration : June’2000 – 2001 (M.Sc)
Major Project : Estimation of Effective Temperature of Stars.
Guided by Dr G S D Babu, Scientist -in- charge, Vainu Bappu Observatory, India Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Kavalur, India.
Summer Internship :
- Undergone one month training in Laboratory for Electro Optics Systems (LEOS) at Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), India from June’2006 to July’2006. Guided by Mr.P.Chakraborty, Group Director, Applied Optics Area, LEOS, Bangalore.
- Worked on fabrication and testing of aspheric mirrors for R-C telescope.
