    The CE CRM (Continental Europe Customer Relationship Management) Project forms the next phase of the IVZ mandated global rollout of the Viaduct CRM system. Currently Viaduct is used in NA, UK and Asia Pacific. Although this initiative will provide many local benefits to CE, this CRM deployment should be viewed as a strategic imperative for the Global Distribution group. Moving CE on to the same CRM platform will allow client information to be shared across regions, helping to support a more collaborative sales strategy in targeting global, high potential clients.

    Viaduct will replace the existing CRM system used in CE : Goldmine. Goldmine has been used for almost five years and has been extensively used to support the CE CRM business processes. Additionally CE has created an Access Database which stores additional CRM data, used for reporting. OBIEE and BO Reports is currently used to meet all the CE CRM reporting requirements. The project includes the rollout of Analytics, the Siebel reporting tool, to enable Crystal Reports to be replaced for CE CRM reporting.

    This project addresses the Basel II recommendations. This requires that the banks first define their credit, operational and market risk. The project currently undertaken by Abbey National deals with defining the credit risk of the bank. The Aim of Basel II recommendations is to calculate risk-weighted assets relying on 4 basic inputs 1) probability of default (PD) 2) loss given default (LGD) 3) exposure at default (EAD) 4) maturity (M).

    The main intention of this project is to deliver no. of risk values by account wise on a monthly basis. These contain a row for each open account plus, all accounts that have closed within the Month found on source databases. Each account within the table will allocate no. of risk values. Transformation rules are needed to create each no of risk value. Each risk value is derived in two different possible roots. It will look up pre calculated values, which have been already stored (or) it will perform calculation. It will be useful for the functional user to analyze the different kinds of risks and to make a strategic decision.
