Job Description
- Support exploration and appraisal well evaluation programs by obtaining and analyzing rock and fluid samples from unconventional and conventional oil and gas reservoirs, source rocks, and zones of interest
- Integrate organic or petroleum geochemical data with other types of subsurface information (such as fluid pressure or production data) to assess (1) reservoir connectivity and allocate commingled oil or gas production or, (2) to predict physical and chemical properties of reservoir fluids laterally across oil and gas fields
- Cooperate with basin-modelers to conduct integrated HC charge studies by characterizing petroleum source rocks and correlating them to oil and gas samples

- PhD or MSc with a few years experience in Petroleum or Organic Geochemistry developing and implementing petroleum geochemistry technology on EP projects

Supervised and maintained records of previous Exploratory drilling activities and all materials used, for billing purposes. Measured and recorded drill pipe, bits, and casing lengths to ensure proper depth control. Studied and interpreted well logs, analyzed conventional as well SW cores and rock cuttings to classify formation changes and areas of concern. Data was utilized in the construction of Standard Data Base. Complete information was conveyed to the manager on a daily basis and turned over to the Directional General of Hydrocarbon (DGH) for examination when drilling and sampling were completed.

Worked as a project scientist in Assam remote sensing application centre, Assam Science technology and Environment Council (ASTEC). Completed the following projects.
1. Project Resource Database Generated Using Remote Sensing And GIS in Boko Dev.Block.
(from 13/09/2010 to 12/08/2011 and from 16/08/2011 to 09/12/2011).
During the above period the following work has been done by me
a) Generation of the river layer(for Boko dev.block, funded by Govt. of Assam)
b) Generation of land use layer in 1 :10000 scale with the help of spectral signatures( for Boko dev. Block)
c) Generation of wasteland change analysis map of Sonitpur, Lakhimpur, Dhemaji and Karbi Anglong Districts(for wasteland change analysis project, funded by Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India).
d) Generated a part of the River, stream layer of Jorhat district using 1 :50,000 scale SOI toposheet.
e) Upgraded the village map of Tinsukia and Dibrugarh districts.
