* General Radiography: All routine Radiography like skull, Chest x-rays, extremities, spines, abdomens, trauma radiography etc.
* Mobile Radiography:
Ward x-rays like Coronary Care unit, Medical Assessment unit, Cardiac Surgery unit, special cares Pediatrics units, Orthopedics wards, Accident and Emergency wards
Extremities: upper & lower extremities.
NUMBER OF X RAYS : In a room , for example , if I am posted in chest room means in chest x ray alone 60 to 70 x rays done, like that

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES IN COMPUTER TOMOGRAPHY
- I will explain to the patient about the procedure & duration of the procedure.
- To strictly follow aseptic techniques while placing the needle for the I.V injection of the contrast medium.
- To check the bleeding parameters, creatinine value before proceeding of the procedures.
- I will ask the patient about preparation & clothing to ensure that there are no metal objects that may interfere and positioning them on the table.
- I will clarify that the patient had any previous history of contrast reaction, any kind of allergy to any medicine, food & confirm that they are not asthmatic.
- I will instruct the patient to drink plenty of water after the procedure & to take food.
- To ensure that adequate supply of contrast medium, Emergency drugs, equipments & other room accessories.
- To ensure that the equipment calibration & tube conditioning are done on regular basis.
- To follow post procedures care.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITES/DUTIES IN SPECIAL PROCEDURES:
To ensure that the patient has had proper radiological preparations.
- To ensure that the creatinine value is checked.
- To ensure proper breath holding instruction is given to the patient.
- To ensure for all asthmatic & allergic patients are instructed to take premedication
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES OF ALL IONIZING RADIATION PROCEDURES:
- To cross check the patient ID with the x ray request form.
- Then explaining the procedure, duration of the procedure and performing it.
- To ensure that international radiation protection guide lines are adhered to all times.
- To take personal responsibility for the quality of professional imaging duties.
- To report and record all equipment faults.

- To undertake all radiographic duties efficiently and to a high stranded, and to adhere to and work within the professional codes of conduct for radiographer.
- I co-ordinate the x ray & ensure that the correct areas have been covered that were requested by the concern unit doctor.
- To work closely with the department supervisor and other radiology dept staff, as part of an integrated team to ensure that the delivery of clinically safe, high quality services to the patients and users of the service.
- To participate in the smooth & efficient of the radiology department during normal & extended working hours.
- To respect & maintain confidentiality of the patient's records at all times, and releasing information only to the doctors concerned with the patient

EMERGENCY & TRAUMA:
- A special room is allotted for Trauma radiography where all trauma cases are handled.
- To do immediate radio graphs of trauma victims & acutely ill patient in the department with the help of other radiographers.
- As for as possible i will not manipulate the patient while doing the x ray
