Work Location : Gurgaon

Stream – students of all streams are invited (only females)

Job title : Lab Technician
Main responsibility : Analysis of samples
Overall responsibility : To provide accurate test results that will promote the recovery of the patient and establish a good professional relationship with the working environment.
DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES
1. Help with the assessment of the patient health status,
2. Assist doctor and nurses in choosing the correct lab tests and ensure proper collection methods,
3. Receive the patient specimens, analyze the specimens, interpret and report results,
4. Perform full range of laboratory test in body fluids to find abnormality,
5. Operate complex electronic equipment, computers, and precision instruments,
6. Recognize anomalies in the test results and troubleshoot analyzers,
7. Confirm the accuracy of test results,
8. Recognizes factors that could introduce error and rejects contaminated or sub-standard specimens.
9. Performs equipment validations, calibrations, quality controls, "on the fly" or run-by-run assessment, statistical control of observed data, and recording normal operations.
10. Reporting laboratory findings to pathologists and other physicians.
11. Responsible for interpreting and communicating critical patient results to the physician.
12. If needed perform phlebotomy on patients, as this skill is part of the clinical training.
13. Aid clinical practitioners in confirming or ruling out diagnoses, monitoring chronic disease changes, and analyzing the effects of medical therapies.
