Project Details
“DESIGN &ANALYSIS OF BASE PLATE FOR A.C.MOTOR USING CATIA & ANSYS WORK BENCH”
Base plate is the device which supports the motor and it is fixed to the foundation. It is used to match the centroid of the driven equipment such as compressor, pumps etc.
It has to carry the load from motor and transfer it to foundation or ground. The design of the base plate should be such that, it should be rigid enough to resist the load and vibrations.
The base plate which has to with stand loads in the 1).Stationary condition of the motor &
2).Normal condition of motor also
Modeling of the base plate is done in CATIA V5R18 & the analysis is done in Ansys Workbench for various condition of motor.
PROJECT CARRIED OUT AT KIRLOSKAR ELECTRIC LTD., GOVENAHALLI POST NELMANGALA BANGLORE.
