Job Description
The Technical Product Manager acts as the inteface between analyser vendors and the development team. He is responsible for :
âVendor relationship management
âSystem Architect
âTechnical development management
Desired Candidate Profile
âInterface at technical level with PLM, Supply Chain Manager, customers to develop vendor engagement, establish legal agreements between ABB and vendor, obtain analyzer technical documentation (manual, SDK, simulator, â), get access to analyzer (buy/loan/on-site access), maintain vendor relationship.
âIdendify analyzer use-cases, understand and document analyzer operation principles, mathematical processings related to a new analyzer class.
âAnalyse, identify and document analyzer requirements for the development of an analyzer interface.
âWrite technical documents such as specifications, design documents and descriptive documents
âParticipate or advise tests for analyser interfaces at product and system level.
âTake in part to sales and proposal effort for solutions with new analysers.
âAssess, test, troubleshoot and document maintenance and operation procedures for analyser instruments.
âCoordinate techical work during analyser interface development and tests. Interface between PLM, PM developers and testers at technical level.
âParticipate to weekly project meeting. In case of technical problem/issue, plan meeting with technical experts to elaborate actions plan.
âResponsible for techical risks linked to analysers interfaces (including mitigation plans).
âFollow-up of techical action items.
âResponsible of the completion of all technical deliverables in a project development
âSupport Project Manager during project development.
âTake part, if needed, in the management of development projects and in the definition of the levels of efforts necessary to achieve the objectives of these projects.
