The project is entitled "vhdl implementation of blowfish encryption algorithm” which is used to encrypt the data for secures transmission. Blow fish is a symmetric encryption algorithm, meaning that it uses the same secret key to both encrypt and decrypt messages. Blow fish also a block cipher, meaning that it divides a message into a fixed length blocks during encryption and decryption. It is designed for high execution speed. It is also a very compact algorithm. An interesting feature of blow fish is that the key length is variable. This blow fish encryption algorithm is generated by generic vhdl coding.
