    The successful candidate for this position will have expertise in Invensys Wonderware technology and Invensys Wonderware System Platform and an understanding of how to apply the this technology in solutions and products, developing system architecture for Invensys Operations Management-based products and solutions.
    Summary :
    The ideal candidate is a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of the automation marketplace who has the capability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways. This candidate has high level of hands-on experience working in the industrial software field, including Database applications, SQL programming, Human Machine Interface application development and Object based programming experience. The candidate must also be knowledgeable in Manufacturing Operations and Business Management.
    The role requires the ability to listen, capture and comprehend customer requirements so as to offer effective solutions and accurate feedback to Product Management and Sales Management.
    Required Skills :
    • 14 - 17 years experience with a strong background in applying industrial automation software systems. 10+ years of implementing database reporting applications.
    • Should have experience working with global customers and be able to influence the right choice, when required from a technology or application standpoint
    • Should have proven skills in managing medium to large teams spread across various locations both India and outside India.
    • A serious advantage will be experience in implementing industrial automation systems, either DCS, SCADA, PLC applications, having worked with a range of PLCs on the market and Supervisory systems.
    • Must be able to communicate ideas effectively; and understand the trends in the market place, being able to understand how to prioritize requirements vs delivery.Preferred Skills :
    • Has prepared and conducted executive level workshops and presentations with sales team
    • Has experience in Product development life cycle and exp in building and designing applications is preferred.
    • Experience in the Industry and implementation of the MES/DCS/SCADA products is preferred.

    Application Engineer
    Position -1
    Job Location : Hyderabad
    • Building process simulation models for Chemical/Oil/Gas (COG) operator training simulators
    • Integrating the process models with control systems.
    • He/She will be responsible for building and testing of dynamic simulation models.
    • He/She will be working in a team (as a team member) that delivers operator training simulators.
    • This is a high responsibility positions and the person will be fully accountable for his/her deliverables.
    • He/She should be a self-starter and a quick learner.
    Experience :
    • 0-3years experience in the Oil & Gas/ refinery/Petro-chemical/fossil fuel power industry. Industry experience with Dynamic Simulation would be preferred.
    • Strong Fundamentals in Chemical Engineering.
    Skills :
    • Technical expertise in use of Dynamic Simulation software for developing operator training simulators.

    • Degreed Chemical Engineer (BS, MS or PhD)
    • 4+ years experience
    • Detailed process understanding.
    • Familiarity with at least some of the following industry sectors : Hydrocarbons (upstream, downstream), Power, Nuclear and Pulp & Paper with Hydrocarbons and Power being of greatest interest.
    • Sound knowledge of first principles of engineering and the fundamental relationship between process variables. Ability to explain, in simple terms, the interaction between process variables.
    • Ability to read, interpret and rationalize discrepancies between PIDs, PFDs, and control logic.
    • Detailed understanding of DCS, ESD and other control systems.
    • Understanding and knowledge of process unit start up and operating procedures.
    • Software integration of process model and control applications to create a single fully integrated application analogous to the process unit.
    Key responsibilities include :
    • Supports Project Managers and Sales in developing detailed engineering estimates and scoping deliverables for potential applications projects
    • Determines and secures engineering resources for the project and assigns resources to work streams/tasks based on team members' expertise, skills, availability, and cost
    • Partners with the Project Manager to finalize project plan and facilitate project kick-off meeting internally or with the customer, if appropriate.
    • Provides oversight and thought leadership to the engineering team in designing the solution
    • Coordinates Remote Engineering, including : application testing, commissioning and hardware integration
    • Interfaces with Remote Engineering resources and Business Unit resources to ensure high-quality and accurate deliverables
    • Anticipates changes in project deliverables and timing and works with the Project Manager to secure additional resources
    • Identifies project risk factors and puts in place plans and actions to mitigate them
    • Assists the Project Manager in preparing progress reports, project audits, man hours planning, and documenting change orders
    • Partners with the Project Manager to measure and report on commercial aspects of projects internally and externally
    • Serves as a key contact with the customer, if required, including managing customer expectations and resolving technical issues to ensure smooth delivery of the solution
    • Ensures that the project team complies with Invensys' technical engineering processes and that deliverables adhere to Invensys' quality standards
    • Periodically reviews project team members' performance and addresses performance and development gaps that may limit the team's ability to effectively serve the customer
    • Improves project margins by actively controlling costs, including staffing the project with cost effective resources and minimizing re-work
