Qualification : Engineering Degree in Civil, Chemical, Computer, Electrical,
Instrumentation and Mechanical
Eligibility : A Pass in Engineering Degree, should not have completed more
than 3 years after passing Degree as on 15.04.2011.
TECHNICIAN APPRENTICES :-
Qualification : Diploma Engineering in, Civil, Chemical
Eligibility : A Pass in Diploma, should not have completed more than
3 years after passing Diploma as on 15.04.2011.

Age Limit : should not have crossed 25 years as on 1.1.2011.

Stipend :

Plumber & Carpenter .. Rs.1700/- per month for I year & Rs.1970/- per month for II year

Intend to do a project on “Vibration analysis of centrifugal pump at BPCL Kochi Refinery”. The vibration analysis we have done is a part of predictive maintenance on rotary equipment. This technique is mainly used for the improved performance of equipment. Using this we can predict the condition of internal parts of the equipment.

- This paper describes a new approach for transformer differential protection that ensures security for external faults, inrush, and over-excitation conditions and provides dependability for internal faults.
- This approach uses Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to realize the protection.
- For this purpose, a conditioning circuit was designed and tested to convert the real values obtained from current transformers to suitable values compatible with PLC inputs.
- Differential protection system model was designed using PLC.
- The software used here is ladder logic.
- This model presents Differential relay in which the input values were the currents through the current transformers windings at the primary and secondary sides of the power transformer.
- This model can be used in a real power system through a suitable interfacing facility and can be used in a protection laboratory as an educational unit.
