Roles and Responsibilities in Equipment Engineering
- Programming and Machine Monitoring of Screen printer Pick and Place machine, Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) and Screen Printer
- Conduct Machine maintenances in TPM basis ,MTBF,MTTR
- Select line configurations as per the program and line setup of SMT equipments
- Support production line in achieving daily targets by assurance of machine in good and Running condition
- Rejection analysis and accordingly process improvement to control and reduce the rejections
- Implements routine equipment preventive maintenance program in accordance with define procedures. Ensure that all PM schedules are promptly met.
- Conduct repairs and troubleshooting of production equipment to avoid / minimize production downtime.
- Equipment up keep / upgrade and maintenance, perform periodic machine inspection, self audit to meet quality system requirement
- Supervise a group of line equipment technicians to up keep equipment/feeder to meet the set target SMT component throw rate and meeting production schedule
- Providing assistance for all in - house Equipment spare inventory control and budget monitoring
- Collaborate to both external(Machine Vendors) and internal team (production, material, Quality, production planner) on problem solving
- Responsible for maintaining the OEE AT above 80% for the SMT Lines
- Develop and maintain work instructions for the machines
- Preparation and presentation of Equipment review reports , OEE(over all equipment efficiency),LU(Line Utilization) reports of the individual lines
- Responsible in assisting higher superior in paper works, such as preparation of weekly and monthly reports and evaluation regarding machine efficiency and product output.
- Apply new techniques to improve quality and production.
- Provide equipment training for new and existing employees as needed
- Responsible for achieving the manufacturing metrics’ target as set in the management objective
- Setting up Process parameters for Critical process such as Solder Paste Printing, Reflow Soldering, and optimizing the process with controls
