Project : BIOSENSORS DETECTING HEART BEAT RATE WITH INTEGRATED GSM MODEL, POWERED BY LOW POWER DTMOS GATES OPERATING IN SUBTHRESHOLD REGION.
- Research done on various biosensors available. These biosensors detected a change in biological activity in the human body and gave a proportional output electrical signal.
- This signal was detected and sent via a GSM model. The heart beat rate when exceeded a preset threshold , was SMSed to any relative or emergency number for quick recovery of the person.
- Biosensors need to poweredby low power efficient gates for long term reliability. DTMOS logic gates were compared to CMOS logic gates and a relative study was done, concluding that DTMOS gates performed better in the sub-threshold region at ultra low voltage supply.

PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN
- USABLE VOLTAGE GENERATION FROM COMPUTER SYSTEM WITHOUT ANY EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY.
Piezoelectric discs were embedded in the keyboard design to generate voltage. Mechanical pressure applied to the keys of the keyboard is converted into usable energy in the form of voltage and current. This voltage when enhanced suitably produced sufficient power to charge a battery.

The code of this project is written in MATLAB. Thorough understanding of the software helped in compilation of functions which helped in easy calculation of the Euclidean distance between different voice samples. The sample with the minimum Euclidean distance (below a threshold) is identified as the voice sample of an already registered user.
- PLANT WATERING WATCHER :
This project contained IC CD74HC132 which is aCMOS Schmitt trigger IC.
The humidity level in the soil played a key role in the project. If the soil was too dry it was indicated by the glowing of a red colored LED else if it was humid, a green colored LED glowed.
