Description :
Pfizer Inc is the world leading chemical company and rated one in United States, in the NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) region. The reports are spread across different subject areas like Manufacturing, Sales and Inventory etc.
The reports are developed in Cognos8 with Oracle as backend to support their decision making. Analyzing Report Specification Documents and Report development-using Report Studio according to User requirements based on templates.
Responsibilities :
- Development of the reports using Cognos 8.
- Development of multiple reports using various templates like list reports, cross-tab reports and chart reports.
- To prepare Report Specification document for the reports developed and verify the correctness of report data with the backend data.
- Weekly attending the calls for getting the client requirements and enhancement of the reports.
- Testing reports using review checklists for Quality Assurance.
2. Boston

Description :
The Boston Company is the largest North American manufacturer of quality chocolate and sugar confectionery products. The Boston Company markets such iconic brand as Modeling Chocolate, Merci Chocolates, Diabetic Chocolate, Luxury Chocolate and Red Chocolate.Developing the reports in Cognos 8.3 using Oracle. The main purpose of this project is to develop various reports according to the subject areas like manufacturing, sales, region and season wise. By using these reports the top level management will make the decisions on their products and sales.
Responsibilities :
- Developing different reports like list, crosstab and chart.
- To develop and test the reports on Cognos8 by implementing the Cognos reporting features like conditional formatting, Bursting, Master Detail Relationship, drill throughs and scheduling of the reports.
- To analyze various errors encountered in cognos8 and resolving them in collaboration with Cognos support, by rising cases wherever required.
- Involved in testing reports and peer reviews improving the performance of the report if it takes more time to run.

3. General Motors

Description :
GM is the world's largest car manufacturer based on annual sales and second largest based on quarterly sales. GM manufactures its cars and trucks in 33 countries. This project is designated to analyze automotive products are on sale which will help managers to know the effort put up by the down level officials.
Responsibilities :
- Created list reports, cross-tab reports and chart reports using multiple queries in a single report.
- Creation of calculated columns in Query Studio and Report Studio level.
- Created various Report Studio reports using calculations, filters, prompts and conditional formatting, drill through.
- Created several drill through to several reports for providing better functionality.
- Applied bursting to burst the reports at country, region and territory levels.
- Monitoring daily scheduled jobs.
