Position : Planning Engineer

Location : Construction Sites

Age : 25 – 45 years

Education Qualification : B E (Civil)/ B. Tech (Civil) /M E (Civil)/ M. Tech (Civil) PG in Planning/ Project/Construction/Management

Experience : 5 – 20 years

Key Responsibilities :
* Manage the interface between the planning applications and the other cross functional design engineering team.
* Prepare proposals, strategic plans, project budget and support business development team in preparing tender and proposal efforts.
* Responsible for preparation and monitoring overall project schedule.
* Progress reporting (Externally to Clients & Internally to Management) including updating, monitoring and project controls.
* Develop detailed project plans and schedule from the project outline on the related software.
* Make presentations to clients as and when needed.
* Able to generate Gantt Charts, S-Curves, Manpower histogram & Monitor productivity by periodically visiting the project sites, highlighting revisions, action plans, catch up plans, critical path analysis and resource planning.
* Analyze the gaps between the planned Vs actual and highlights the area needing attention for action of the project team.
* Generate work front analysis and look-ahead schedules.
* Interact with clients/consultants on project management issues pertaining to time/cost variations.
* Carry out critical path analysis periodically to avoid project cost and time overruns.
* Prepare time extension claims by substantiating the effect in Critical Path.
* To prepare construction schedule.
* Close coordination with Project Management and design/ Construction team to enforce accurate progress monitoring system.

* Have strong engineering background with exceptional analytical abilities.
* Have multi discipline projects experience. (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical).
* Have good experience in preparing & updating project networks in Primavera and MS Projects.
* Have excellent knowledge of project planning, costing, scheduling.
* Have a passion for quality and excellence.
* Have excellent leadership, communication and management skills.
* Have good communication capabilities –oral, written and presentation skills.

Proficiency in latest planning tools like MSP, Primavera etc.

Description :

The operation of 420kv SF6 circuit breaker is explained in detail. The various routine tests recommended by IEC 62271-100 standard is described and the results of the test are compared with the specified values.
It deals with the basic introduction to a circuit breaker, types of circuit breakers, the properties and advantages of SF6 circuit breakers, its disadvantages, technical data, constructional features of the breaker in which various parts of the circuit breaker are explained. It also deals with the basic working principle, arc phenomenon, arc extinction and modes of operation of 420kv SF6 circuit breaker.
