This HT supply is used for operating different auxiliary units in thermal power plants. High tension systems having the voltage rating of 6.6kv supply. For efficient operation of thermal power plants, effective control of high tension systems and low tension systems is necessary.HT systems include Ash handling plant, Coal handling plant, Mills and fans of thermal plant. The possibilities of fault occurrences, their protecting equipments and HT motor protection schemes are explained in this project report.
