Job Title : Scientist, R&D - Molecular Diagnostics
Desired Qualification : M.Sc/Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or related field. Minimum 2 years work experience in Industry in developing the molecular diagnostics assays.
Job Description :
The candidate will be directly involved in the design, development and validation of molecular diagnostic assays for in-house use, this may include assays for genetic as well as infectious diseases. Thorough understanding of various molecular techniques is required including PCR, Real-time PCR, ARMS-PCR, multiplex PCRs, sequencing etc. Experience in flow-cytometry and/or oncology would be an advantage. Must be willing to work with clinical samples on a regular basis.
The candidate should have good communication, presentation and organization skills. The ability to plan and work to timelines is essential.
