Key Responsibilities
Tool Room Operations :
- Spearheading tool room activities which include planning, mould design, mould manufacturing, process monitoring & analysing.
- Identifying areas of improvement and carrying out the improvement projects. Conducting weekly & monthly reviews for tool/mould manufacturing progress, cost & analysing the discrepancy & making action plan for that.
Vendor Development :
- Reviewing, finalising cost, design & manufacturing process with suppliers as per our quality standard. Off-loading of components to achieve stringent production targets.
- Developing long-term partnerships with suppliers; managing supplier performance of vendors to ensure meeting of Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) norms.
Resource Management
- Responsible for effectively managing the workforce comprising 75 people in a shift and consistently achieving defined production targets.
- Handling the procurement of raw materials and generating the substantial cost economies by deft applications of negotiation skills.
- Planning effective manpower deployment & works scheduling of qualified workforce; addressing training needs to enhance skills.
Process Improvement :
- Identifying scope for planning, implementing & monitoring technological changes to enhance productivity & modifications in equipment, process flow, working practices, consumables for controlling & reducing conversion cost.
- Implementing various techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, QMS ISO 9001-2008 etc for quality manufacturing & cycle time reduction.
