Biotech Instrumentation Engineer

Location : Kerala, INDIA

*Biotech Instrumentation Engineer* to function as an on-site instrumentation engineer to support with service and maintenance of biotech instruments. Job duties include will include install, upgrade, troubleshoot repair, and maintain instrument systems as needed. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are expected. The job requires domestic and international travel.

Qualifications:
BS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, with at least 5 years experience and knowledge in the biotechnology/biomedical industry. Strong technical background and experience with Applied Biosystems DNA and/or sequencing machines, PCR and Real time PCR machines, and Mass spec machines would be a plus.

ULTRASONIC BLIND MAN NAVIGATOR.
Description: This paper presents a system for real time obstacle detection and distance estimation. Computational stereo performance has progressed such that several commercial or open source implementations are available which operate at frame rate, but suffer from well known correspondence errors. Our project is position detection using ultrasonic sensors. Briefly; measurement of distance for an object from an ultrasonic sensor and map its position in a pre-calculated area. It uses RF04 ultrasonic sensors for distance measurement and drive this sensor via PIC (Peripheral Interface Control) 16f877 microcontroller.
