My career has led me to specialize increasingly in the Design and Development of tools for sheet metal, plastics and casting products. I have hands on experience on the strategic planning for the development of tool from the scratch within the tight financial disciplines imposed by the organization and also the under the provided deadlines.
Successfully completed six month live project under Design Department at Indo German Tool Room Centre, Aurangabad (IGTR) also and got exposed to various tools and software’s used for the tooling solutions, which includes Pro-e, Ug-nx, AutoCAD and Catia. Also I was exposed to CNC Milling, Lathe, and EDM, Wire cut machines and assembling of tools.
Professional Experience :-
Presently working as Design Engineer with “ Sancheti Institute for Orthopedics & Rehabilitation , Pune (Poona health services) to design and development of surgical instrument and Hip joint under the guidance of famous Surgeon Dr. K. H Sancheti

Cement Spacer System :-
The project comprises of design if Hip cement spacer with a cost cutting design for both manufacturing and the operation.
A hip cement spacer is used for the infected Hip joints with slug developing around it. It is made up of the bone cement with the Skelton mode of steel of cobalt chrome alloy. It is then dipped in the anti biotic for removing the infected bacteria in the hip joint.
Current designs available in the market are foreign based design and are very costly both in manufacturing and operation wise.
The project needed the study of different cement spacer and their operation requirement.
It also included the inventory and the material required for the manufacturing.
Our design reduces the need of the cementing gun along with increase of the structural stability of the spacer. It also accomplished the manufacturing ease along with fewer inventories.
Design and Development of Hip Prosthesis Aim :-
1. Structural modification in the neck shaft angle of the SMP and Tri-contact hip prosthesis.
2. Increase in the family members of the stems.
3. Development of the broaches and stems holder.
4. Addition of the new cone design for the stems.
5. Design of the stem based on the Coreil design philosophy.
- Includes addition of ribs to increase coating areas
- Design of modular hip system.
Responsibilities During the Projects
- Development of surgical instrument for Hip and Knee surgery.
- Collection of data from reverse engineering and journals.
- Developments of implants for hip
- Prototype development
- Modeling and drafting using Nx-5 and AutoCAD
- Outsourcing the data for casting and machining
- Keeping track record of production process and delivery.
- Preparation of gauges and getting Quality check for final components.
Academic Project & Training
(Post Graduate Diploma) :-Design and Manufacturing of press tool.
Title of the project : CMR 3 Ring
The project comprises the Design and Manufacturing of the press tool. It consists of lancing and the channel bending operation in a single stroke. Component drawing was provided by the customer with proper GD&T. Solid model was developed using Pro-e Wildfire 4.0. Design and development of the tool was done in AutoCAD and 3-D modeling using UG-nx5.
( B.E. (Mechanical) : - Performance Evaluation of Grinding wheel.
The project aims at the analysis of the grinding process, Study of the different factors affecting the processes and the way in which we can control these parameters to optimize this process. It also includes the strategies of experimentation, Design of Experiment and the Regression model. Also a regression equation and software program is developed to find the optimum dressing point.
Seminars on Ansys
- Use of Ansys solid Element 92 and 95 in the field of medical and automobile field
For medical analysis TIBIA (screw used for fractured bones) and for Automobile analysis of the front axle of the tractor was analyzed.
- Use of Renewable sources of energy and some design concepts.
- Forging and die design.
- Design of mechanism to generate electricity using roads humps, (BMPER GENERATOR).
