* Project Description :The project is replacing an existing 2 lane carriageway that runs from the northern city of Jammu to Srinagar in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. Construction detail includes a new alignment via a 10km road including approx 9km of major tunnel, through the lower Himalayan hills, which provides a smooth and safe alternative to the existing 41 km road. The project value is circa $550mUS.

* Job summary :Based at the Jammu Project Office the successful candidate will report to the Project Director. Key responsibilities will include preparing management, financial and cash reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis; to ensure the preparation and submission of all relevant documents in line with any statutory, accounting and taxation requirements and to perform the full spectrum of day to day financial and accounting functions in order to provide accurate and up to date financial information for the effective management of the project. Specific duties will include the management of cash flow and accounts payable; the planning, monitoring and controlling of payments and to liaise with any banks, auditors and other external agencies in conjunction with the Divisional Finance Manager.

* Responsibility :Any applicant will hold a degree qualification in accountancy or finance or similar and have a minimum of 10 years of post graduate experience, with a minimum of 3 years experience specifically in the construction industry. In addition any applicants will be responsible, well organized, self motivated and detail oriented. They must be fully computer literate and able to work with MS Office and any relevant accountancy software product.
