Load Controller

Location - Mumbai

You are responsible to prepare the Load and Trim Sheet for different type of aircrafts in a timely manner, generate Load sheets through the system as well as prepare manual Load sheets for CAR compliance, calculate the Estimate Zero Fuel Weight (EZFW) in coordination with Flight Despatch Department and notify for correct fuel upliftment.

You will monitor rescheduled, delayed, combined and cancelled flights and prepare loadsheet accordingly, necessitate checks to ensure that Load sheets are generated in adherence to Precision Time Schedule (PTS) to maintain scheduled departures.

You should be a graduate with a miniumm of 2 years of work experience in any operational area and be proficient in the use of computers. You should possess good communication and interpersonal skills.Willingness to work on shifts and in a high pressure environment is essential.

The appointment will be subject to successful completion of the Load Controller, Dangerous Goods and other required training.

Work Profile
- Counter check in of passengers in DCS.
- Incorporating Advanced Passenger Information (API) in DCS.
- Performing boarding function of passengers to aircraft.
- Preparing General Declaration (GD) and passenger manifest for the departure flights.
- Meets arrival flights and files the incoming documents with various Govt.Agencies.
- In case of transit flights, makes sure disembarking and transit passenger figures tallies with the LDM figures.
- Arranging necessary assistance for VIPs, CIPs, Disabled passengers, un accompanied minors etc. on arrival and departure flights.
- Liaising with Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS), Ground Support Department (GSD) for the smooth delivery of baggage to the aircraft.
- Handling ticketing queries of customers and keeps track of seats availability in Air India(AI) and Air India Express(IX) flights.
- Providing Competitive and lower airfare quotations in accordance with Company policy.
- Issuing International and Domestic air tickets ex-Cochin.
- Issuing Industry Discount tickets for Staff On Duty(SOD), Staff On Leave(SOL).
- Serving premium customers with Gold, Silver frequent flyer cards.
- Issuing Flight Interruption Manifest(FIM) in the event of flight disruptions, delays and cancellations.
- Handling non scheduled (chartered) flights.
Admin Functions
- Monitoring and actioning telexes viz.Load Distribution Message(LDM), Container Pallet Message (CPM), Passenger Service Message (PSM), Seat Occupancy Message (SOM), Passenger Transfer Message (PTM), Baggage Transfer Message (BTM) etc.
- Obtaining informations from different sections and preparing Flight Handling Report on daily basis.
- Liaise with different departments and disseminating the telex informations.
- Executing staff allocation in a particular shift.
- Ensuring the check-in counters and ticketing sections are properly manned.
Load Control Functions
- Calculating the payload and preparing load plan for wide-bodied and narrow-bodied aircrafts.
- Liaise with Flight-Despatch Department and updating the Zero Fuel Weight (ZFW) conditions.
- Checking the compatibility of DGR items and deciding the segregation.
- Prepares the Load sheet and Trim.
- Makes sure the weights are loaded within the aircraft structural limitations and balance limits.
- Assessing the Unit Load Devices (ULD) requirements and allocating them in the wide-bodied aircrafts.
- In the event of payload restrictions, decide and advice about the offloading of items.
Additional Responsibilities
- Initialising the Flight in the Departure Control System(DCS).
- Creating the Flight in DCS.
- Responsible for amendments in Flight configuration, aircraft marking, crew compliment, and ULD NOFIT corrections.
- Incorporating Last Minute Changes (LMC) in the Load sheet.
- Preparing and sending LDM, CPM, and departure movement messages for the down line stations.
- Co –coordinating with colleagues for efficient functioning of the activities.
- Maintaining and updating work related manuals.
- Preparing reports to the management by retrieving records from different database on daily basis.
- Batchelor Degree in Chemistry from Calicut University.
- Diploma in IATA-UFTAA Foundation Course.
