Flight Operations - Operations Assistant

Location – Mumbai / Delhi

You should be a Science Graduate with Physics and Math’s in the 10+2 level, Computer Literate, below 25 years of age and unmarried. Good analytical skills and extreme alertness in a high stress environment is a pre-requisite.

You will be responsible to prepare pre-flight briefing bulletins, collect meteorological reports and update systems.

The position will be based at the Airport, and you will be required to work in shifts.

Employed with Alliance Air (A Wholly owned subsidiary of Air India Limited)
- Joined Alliance Air in 1997 as supervisor operations at Chennai.Worked in Flight Operations assisted in all flight dispatch activities.
- Upgraded as Flight Operations Officer in 2000 - worked in Flight Dispatch as duty officer.
- Worked in Cockpit Crew Scheduling Department at Chennai Base from September 2001 till July 2003.
- Transferred to Delhi in Cockpit Crew Scheduling Department in August 2003.
- Upgraded as In-charge of Cockpit Crew Scheduling in July 2004 at Delhi Base.
- Assisted Executive Director (Airline Ops.) in day-to-day working of Flight Operations in addition to crew scheduling.
Given charge of All India Cockpit Crew Scheduling in June 2005

- Prepare and manage cockpit crew roster on All India basis for B737 and ATR aircraft in co-ordination with the training and licensing section.
- Monitor FDTL on daily basis.
- Prepare and maintain the list of pilots qualified for special airfields and validity of route checks.
- Prepare crew utilization statement on monthly basis for payments and equalization of hours.
- Prepare crew patterns for better utilization, rotation of crew and base wise equalization of flying hours.

Executive Assistant to the Managing Director from July 2006 till August 2009.
- Prepare and Update manpower of Alliance Air on monthly basis.
- Co-ordinate with Engineering Department for schedule operation and periodic checks of aircraft.
- Co-ordinate with all the departments for on time performance.
- Actively involved in Schedule planning.
- Day to day administrative task assigned by MD.
- Upgraded to Sr. Flight Operations Officer in February 2008.
- In-Charge of All India Cockpit Crew Scheduling from August 2009 till March 2010 after integration of Alliance Air operations with Air India, for Boeing-737-200, ATR and CRJ aircraft.
- Completed A-320 Flight Dispatcher’s Course from CTE, Hyderabad, Air India. Cleared Oral Exam conducted by the DGCA in October 2009, approval pending due to merger of AOP.
- Presently working as Senior Flight Operations officer/ In-charge Flight Dispatch and technical documentation.
