2. Must be well versed with the policy environment of automotive sector and have experience of project management.

- Common Fixture design for the fitting & welding of Air Tank in single stage. This eliminated 2-3 hrs of fitter on each air tank. The saving cost is about 1000-1500/- per air tank & the tank production is 1-2nos per day.

Job Responsibilities in ISGEC
Plan the entire project’s manufacturing sequence as per monthly planning program & capacity of shop (Group).
Selection of welding consumables for assigned projects.
Arrangement of raw material for the fabrication of projects as per drawing & BOM requirement.
Supervision (Manufacturing including Fitting, Welding, S.R, Primer Painting & planning of manpower with machines for all three shifts for the group).
Supervision at vendor site for sub-contracted items for technical & contractual delivery help.
The main concerned point for me at the shop is to improve the
Welding quality with least time consumption.
Preparation of Heat Treatment Charge Card, and monitoring of
Heat treatment process.
Solve Welding & fitting related problems in shop floor.
Calculation of welder performance by arc meters, maintaining
the consumable issuance & completion record data for increase
in welding Production.
Projects handled
The main projects what have been passed over are :-

Cooling Bed With Walking Beams( M/s Danieli)- It is the project to be used for the movement of red hot billet from the furnace to the ambition point by cooling it to the target temperature on which it is to be further worked.
Bulb Nose (Alstom Hydro Projects Ltd.)- It is the project to be utilized under the turbine in water zone for giving the turbine easy movements having electrical & electronic parts in it.
Turbine Base (GE, America)- It is the regular project which is used to give base for the foundation of turbine that is why its name is Turbine Base.

Drum Body(M/s Paul Wurth)- It is also a regular project which is used for the slag filtering process in steel plants.
Laddle (M/s Paul Wurth)- As the name indicates this project is used in the steel plant for the transportation & pouring of molten metal.
Trestles With Cantilever & Basic (M/s SMS DEMAG) Export Project- It is the project which is used for the movement of ships from the manufacturing location to unloading point into the sea & vice versa.
Tundish (M/s VAI SIEMENS) Export Project- It is the project which is used for the same purpose as ladle but it has some special fuctions that the molten metal can be handle in it for a long time & thus transport also to a long distance, moreover is gives the accurate pouring with the help of hydraulic system used in it.
Pressure Bulb Upstream & Down Stream( Andritz Hydro Projects)-As the name indicates these are the caps of a pressurized component of both ends up & down.
Hydro Pipe Line(M/s Jindal Stainless Steel, M/s Bhushan Steel, M/s ESSAR Steel.)- These are the pipe lines of S.S which are used for the water & coolant cooling system in the steel plant for the plate extracting system from furnace.
Water Segment (M/s Jindal Steels, M/s Bhushan Steels & SMS)-The water segment projects are used for the cooling the billets coming out from the furnace.
Hydraulic & Mechanical Presses-These are our home projects which are of many types such as ‘H-Frame’, ’C-Frame’, ‘Gap Frame Presses - Mechanical’, ‘Straight Sided Presses - Mechanical’, ‘Straight Sided Presses - Hydraulic’ etc.
Segment Removal Frame & Rails- This project is utilized for removing & installing the segments used for the plate extracting system etc.

Experience gathered : Working as a Deputy General Manager -Product Engineering Development in'Pricol Limited' Coimbatore from 1984 onwards( 26 yrs.).
Achievements in the past :
Started my carrier as an engineer and involved in the development activities of
Industrial and Railways pressure gauges.
Paralelly I was given development of export products from 1986 onwards & was
handling around more than 75 customers in various Arab countries Austrailia,
Brazil, Canada,Finland,Holland,and OEMs in USA ,UK and Germany till 1998.
Developed Mech. & Electrical gauge , Mech.Speedometer and Tachometer
Assy.Cables for Trucks, Tractor, applications.
Special gauges & sensors like Programmable tachometer, Dual Pressure gauges, Universal
Tankunit, Tubular Tankunits, Pitot tube speedometer for marine etc.
First export started on 1986 and supplied Industrial pressure gauges.
In 1998 my portfolio changed to product test laboratory and was heading till 2003.
Where the Lab has been modernized and added various testing equipments to meet
the national ,Customer and International standards like IS,JIS,SAE,ISO,IEC etc.
During this period test set up introduced for EMC ,EMI ,various transient pulses.
( GTEM Cell for RI&CI ,RE&CE,ESD,Load dump,Field decay ,etc)
Internally we developed accelerated tests to simulate the field condition.
In 2003 ( ex.Slosh test,2 wheeler road simulation test )
I voluntarily approached the management and requested to give additional responsibility of
design and was heading the domestic Off road vehicle design team.
In 2004 development activity for export OFF road OEM has given to me as a

In 2008 , I have been assigned the development of Instrument cluster for OFF Road Vehicle
