TRAINING OF CRAFT INSTRUCTORS – ADMISSION FOR THE YEAR 2010-11 The admission for the craft instructor training course (Modular pattern) at ATI Guindy, Chennai-32 will commence as per the following schedule during the year 2010-11.

I quarter 1st November 2010
II Quarter 1st February 2011
III quarter 2nd May 2011

The various Modules of Instructor Training (Modular Pattern) with their duration eligibility and commencement are given below. The Engineering Technology module are offered in Trade Technology -I and Trade Technology -II in the following Trades only.

1. DRAAUGHTSMAN (MECHANICAL)
2. WELDER (WL)

Duration : 3 Months

NOTE: A TRAINEE HAS TO CLEAR ALL THE FOUR MODULES (TT-I, TT-II, ET & Training Methodology) WITHIN A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS FROM THE DATE OF FIRST REGISTRATION TO THE CRAFT INSTRUCTOR TRAINING (Modular Pattern), TO BECOME ELIGIBLE FOR NATIONAL CRAFT INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATE TO BE ISSUED BY NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR VOCATIONAL TRAINING, MINISTRY OF LABOUR & EMPLOYMENT, GOVT OF INDIA.
1. ADMISSION QUALIFICATION: Candidates who have passed National Trade Certificate or National Apprenticeship Certificate or Degree or Diploma in relevant branch of Engineering in the concerned trade are eligible to apply. Candidate may seek admission to any of the modules given in the table below subject to fulfilling the eligibility as given below.

2. SELECTION: Selection shall be made purely on Merit basis in accordance with the instructions issued by the DGE&T in this regard. 3. CERTIFICATE: On successful completion of module examination, a certificate will be issued by this institute for the respective module only.

6. HOSTEL FACILITIES & FEES.: Hostel Accommodation is available at nominal service charge as given in the Table. Mess facility is available at nominal charges. Cooking inside hostel rooms is strictly prohibited.

HOW TO APPLY: Candidate seeking admission should apply to the DIRECTOR, Advanced Training Institute, Guindy Chennai, 600032, in the prescribed application format with a passport size photo along with a Registration fee of Rs.100/-. by way of Indian Postal Order or Demand Draft in favor of The DDO, ATI Chennai 32, payable at Chennai. The format of application form can be obtained from the advertisement or can be downloaded from the website www.atichennai.org.in

Attested copies of all Certificates must accompany the application form. Preference will be given to candidates sponsored by the affiliated I.T.Is and I.T.Cs, Govt. of India Undertakings and industrial Organizations. In case of sponsored candidates, a sponsorship certificate from the employer indicating all the relevant details and duly endorsed by the competent authority of Directorate of Employment & Training of their respective state should be enclosed along with the application for consideration under sponsored candidate category. For the seats remaining unfilled after allocation of seats to sponsored candidates, private candidates will be considered on merit basis.

The candidates those who have passed NTC/ NAC in 2008, or before, will have to submit the original NTC / NAC certificate Issued by the National Council for Vocational Training, Ministry of Labour & Employment. Submission of Mark sheet alone will not be considered for Admission. DGE&T, New Delhi and the Director, ATI Chennai reserves the right to discontinue any trade at its discretion with out assigning any reason and notice. No trainee shall apply/ forward the application directly to DGE&T, HQ, New Delhi and the same shall not be entertained.
