Recruitment Against Ex-Servicemen Quota
Employment Notice No. P/NCR/Ex-SMQR/10-11 Dated: 12.10.2010
Closing Date: 20.12.2010 upto 18:00 hours.
Applications are invited for filling up about 1400 posts in PB-I 5200-20200 GP 1800
(erstwhile Group D categories which inter-alia includes posts of Helper-II, Trackmen/Gang men, Box
porter, Safaiwala, Porter, Points men, Gatemen, Parcel Porter, Office Khalasi etc) in various
department North Central Railway against 20% Ex-Service Men Quota as per the details given below. The eligible and willing Retired Military Personnel
only may apply on the format given Annexure ‘A’.
PAY SCALE: PB-15200-20200 + Grade Pay 1800/-
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
2.1 The candidate should have minimum qualification of matriculation or equivalent or higher
qualification from recognized Board/University.
2.2 The Ex-Servicemen who have retired after putting in fifteen years of service and has passed
Army Class-I certificate or equivalent will be considered eligible.
AGE:
i) The candidate should be aged between 18 to 33 (Un Reserved), 18-36 (Other Backward Caste)
and 18-38 years for Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe as on 01.01.2011.
ii) The Ex-servicemen who have put in not less than six months continuous service will be
given age relaxation to the extent of period of service plus three years.
MODE OF SELECTION:-
(i) The recruitment shall be on the basis of scrutiny of applications .The panel will be formed on
the basis of length of Military Service rendered by the applicant.

Application shall be submitted with date and signature on A-4 size white paper in the form given
in Annexure-‘A’.
The application complete in all respect, along with all the enclosures duly attached, should be
sent in an envelope on the address given below:

Application should be sent by ORDINARY POST or dropped in box kept in this office (on ground
floor, B - Block) for this purpose. Application sent by registered post/courier or speed post will
not be acknowledged. The envelope containing the application should clearly be super-scribed
“Application for Recruitment against Ex-Service Men Quota”.
Last date for receipt of application is 18.00 hrs on 13-12-10. Applications received after closing
date and time will not be entertained.
