Recruitment against Cultural Quota – 2010-11

1.0. Applications are invited from Indian citizens for filling up 02 (Two) posts (UR) in the Pay Band Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs.1900 or Grade Pay Rs.2000 (erstwhile Group ‘C’) against Cultural Quota for the year 2010-11 on Central Railway, in the following Discipline/Skills:-

1) Dancer with Choreography experience or Male Singer (Classical)
01 Post

Degree/Diploma/ Certificate in
Dance, Singing (Classical) from Govt./Govt. recognized Institute

2) Harmonium player with Key Board playing experience
01 Degree/Diploma/ Certificate in Harmonium from Govt./Govt. recognized Institute

1.1 Candidates from above Discipline/Skills and also fulfilling the following conditions may submit their applications as per the proforma enclosed as Annexure “A”.

2.0. Desirable :-
a) Experience in the field and performance given on AIR/Doordarshan etc.
b) Prize won at National level in above fields.

2.1 List of participation and National level prizes won by applicant (Annexure ‘B’)

3.0. Educational Qualification
Matriculation pass or its equivalent examination passed or higher qualification.

3.1 Age limit :
Category
UR 18 to 30 years
OBC 18 to 33 years
SC/ST 18 to 35 years

4.0. Mode of selection:- Candidates who apply in response to notification and are found eligible for consideration for appointment against Cultural Quota shall be assessed on the following basis.

(i) Written test
(iv) Practical Demonstration.

5.0. How to apply
5.1 The application shall be submitted on A-4 size quality white paper and should be in the format enclosed as Annexure ‘A’ to this notification. The application format should be filled up in English or Hindi only on one side of the paper, duly dated and signed. Left Hand Thump Impression should also be given in the boxes provided in the format. Applicant’s signature in short form/capital letters will be treated as invalid. Each candidate should send one application only.

5.2. One copy of latest passport size photograph without cap/Sun glasses/wig should be affixed on the application form on the space provided in the application form with two spare photographs clipped to the application form.

5.3. Along with application, attested copies of Educational Qualification, certificates in cultural field, certificate indicating date of birth, Caste certificate issued by the proper authority in case of SC/ST/OBC and achievements in cultural field should be enclosed. It may be noted that application without the attested copies of the certificates will be summarily rejected.

6.0. Application Fee : (Non refundable)
