Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India invites applications for the post of Director. Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR), Olatpur, P.O. Bairoi, Dist.Cuttack, Orissa an autonomous body under the administrative control of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
Functions and Responsibilities:
To head the apex national level Institute and assume full responsibility for its overall development. To lead a team of professionals in clinical services, training, research and documentation in the area of locomotors disability.
Classification:
Group ‘A’ Post
Qualification :
1. Essential :
(i) Master’s Degree in PMR or Orthopaedics or Bio-Medical Engineering with experience in the field of Rehabilitation of persons with locomotors disability or related fields for at least 10 years.
2. Desirable :
(i) Ph.D in a relevant area or published work of equivalent standard.
(ii) Experience of research in the field of rehabilitation.
Mode of Recruitment :
On deputation, initially for a period of 3 years which may be extended up to 5 years.
Or
On contract, for a period not exceeding 5 years.
Probation period :
Two years
Pay and allowances :
The post is in the Pay Band (P-4) of Rs.37400-67000 plus Grade Pay of Rs.8700/- with all allowances at Central Government rates.
Age :
Not exceeding 55 years but relaxable as per prevailing rules of the Government.
