Job Description :
To lead a team of PDS Modeler, piping, equipment, frameworks, raceways.
• Project Creation and setup, database customization, seed files settings, Isogen setup, framework setup, Updating remote sites with data from master project and vice-versa.
• Creation of library, Archival, RIS Administration & Trouble Shooting. Loading and unloading RIS Dump. archival backup.
• Drawing Manager and Microstation to extract ortho’s, and design drawings
• Conversion of Smartplant Review Data to Navisworks format
• Adding SPECS at PDS Reference Data Manager
• Interference and clash detection.
• Report manager May be required to travel abroad.
Qualification : B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Skills Required : Mechanical Engineer with first class in BE having work experience in the area of PDS Administration ,detailed engineering and design. Should have working experience on international standards. Should have working knowledge in CAD. Should possess good Leadership qualities, with the ability to guide & motivate team members, good communication and techno commercial skills.
Experience : 6-10 years of PDS Administration experience

Semester Project and Vocational Training
- April – 2009 : Worked on Semester project thesis “Study of design for evacuation of
power from hydro plant and EHV line tapping arrangement“ with my
colleague at the firm Power consultant agency(PCA), Baroda.
- In which we have studied various evacuation schemes like Narmada, kadana etc. After studying evacuation schemes we came to the conclusion that if proper survey is not done in advance for the evacuation scheme for Hydro plant it is likely that number of problems may crop up during actual execution, which may cost very much in terms of money, time delay and reliability of evacuation system. Planning of evacuation scheme has to be done well in advance especially for Hydro plant because they are generally located in hilly region where space constraint is there and so optimum utilization of available space has to be done in such a way that power is available in most economic form.
- Also we have studied tapping arrangement in terms of cost and way leave, which is very safe and robust in design and operation. It is more efficient method of obtaining power from new generating station to the grid is by tapping of new lines in to existing line through loop arrangement.
- June – 2008 : Vocational training in “JYOTI LIMITED”, Baroda. It helps me to get
insight into manufacturing, production and testing of company’s
various products e.g. Induction motors, turbine, Windmill generators,
Circuit Breakers, Relays etc.
Career Experience
Working as Design Engineer at KUSTERS CALICO MACHINERY LTD, Baroda from August 2009.The manufacturing program of the company consists of a wide range of textile processing machines and plastic processing machines.
Role In The Company :
- Review Input and output list with Head of Department and team which are used for designing panel.
- Finalize various equipment rating used in panel (for switchgear, power and control) as per given drive details.
- Panel Design using EPLAN software (version P8) for textile processing machines.
- Panel Design includes Digital inputs, Digital outputs, Analog inputs, Analog output, Drives (Mostly Siemens & ABB) and Plc connections.
- Material indent using in-house application MOMS (Machine Operation And Management System)
- Release material indent for purchase department.
- Calculation of cables used in panel and machine.
