RECRUITMENT Notification (FOR SUB-ENGINEERS/ELECL.)

The APSPDCL invites applications from eligible women candidates belongs to SC/ST Community and having Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (DEEE/LEE) for filling up of the following SC/ST Backlog vacancies of Sub-Engineers (Electrical) on regular basis.
1)Sub-EngineerS (Electrical) backlog vacancies : 18

2)JOB SPECIFICATION: Assisting Section Officers in all matters relating to section operation in addition to maintenance of Operational Records, Petty Cash Book, Collection of DDs and remittance, monthly M.I.S, submission of reports relating to breakdowns, accidents, failure of Transformers.
3)AGE : Not below 18 years and not more than 34 years as on 30.11.2010. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
4)Qualifications : Pass in DEEE/LEE or equivalent qualification from any institutions recognized by State or Central Govt. (no other diploma branch holders are eligible to apply. Higher qualification with Electrical Branch can also apply

6)TRAINING CUM PROBATION :
The Candidates appointed to the post shall be placed on Training – cum – Probation for a period of 2 years. During the period of Training – cum – Probation he/she will be paid the minimum of the pay scale along with admissible allowances.

7)SELECTION PROCEDURE :
The eligible candidates will be required to appear for a written examination at Tirupati centre. The following are the minimum qualifying marks in the written test for SC/ST candidates – 30% or as per Rules and other terms of Presidential Order. Selection will be made 100% based on merit in written examination and after verification of certificates. The merit candidates community wise will be called for verification of certificates in 1:2 ratio.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS :

1. Title : AUTOMATIC THREE POINT STARTER
Description : usually the armature resistance of a motor is very low. So when we apply the line voltage across the motor, very large current flows into the armature circuit & it will burn out. So we are using starter (starting resistance in series with armature) & slowly cutting it as motor speeds up, this is done by using relays.
Role : Team Leader
2. Title : ENERGY AUDITING
Description : An energy audit is an inspection, survey and analysis of energy flows for energy conservation. To reduce the amount of energy input into the system without negatively affecting the output. The studies should reveal the options available for reducing energy waste, the costs involved and the benefits achievable from implementing those energy conserving opportunities. I did this project in Visveswaraya Institute of Technology, Kottayam.
Role : Individual Project.
3. Title : APPLICATION OF PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZATION TECHNIQUE IN
POWER SYSTEM STATE ESTIMATION WITH AND WITHOUT UPFC
Description : This project is deals with the flexible of AC transmission system (FACTS) techniques, the power flow in the interconnected power systems can be controlled flexibly. Unified power flow controller (UPFC) is one of the most important components of FACTS. Here IEEE 14- bus system is used to simulate. The simulation or results indicate that the method yields a good state estimate of the system states for a large scale power system with many UPFCs.
Role : Individual Project.
