Applications are invited from eligible candidates in prescribed Proforma
(Annexure-A) for appointment on following temporary post in Jharkhand
State Electricity Board :

Candidate have to log on website of NPTI before applying at
www.npti.in or on the website of JSEB at www.Jharkhand.gov.in for
the details regarding eligibility, reservation criteria, age relaxation for
different categories etc.
Candidates having engineering degree in Electrical or Electronic can
apply for both the posts of Assistant Electrical Engineer (General
Cadre) and Assistant Executive Engineer (GTO Cadre) Electrical/
Electronics. However they have to indicate the order of preference in
the application. Similarly candidates having diploma in Electrical or
Electronics can apply for both the posts of Junior Electrical Engineer
(General Cadre) and Junior Electrical Engineer (GTO cadre).However
they have to indicate the order of preference in the application.

The upper Age as on 31.12.2010 is :General Category: 35 years ,
SC&ST:40 years and BC&EBC:37 years.
The minimum age for all the above posts is 21 years.

Selection Criteria:
I. Objective type Written test of 2 hrs
II. Final list of selected candidate will be drawn up on the basis of aggregate of marks obtained in written test and interview together.
Probation period:
Selected candidates shall be on Probation for a period of 3 years from the date of appointment, as per rules.

Application fee:
A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 750/- is applicable for all categories except SC/ST of Jharkhand domicile for whom it is Rs. 500/- .
Application fees are acceptable only in the form of crossed demand draft in favour of "National Power Training Institute" Payable at Faridabad

How to apply:
The applicants are to apply only through on-line on the website of NPTI at www.npti.in or on the website of JSEB at www.Jharkhand.gov.in The website shall be kept open from 15.12.2010 to 10.01.2011. After filling up the ON-LINE application candidates have to take print out of the same. Print out of the application along with copies of certificates of Age, Qualification,Caste, PH and the Demand draft as specified on website should be sent through registered post/ speed post to: The principal Director (CP), National Power Training Institute, NPTI Complex, Sector-33, Faridabad – 121003 (Haryana) so as to reach on or before the last date i.e. 20.01.2011.

- Trouble Shooting and investigating the cause for electrical fault in power distribution system and in control panel of generator.

- Under Ground Cable Locator.
- Fluke Earth Leakage Tester.
- Dielectric Tester of Transformer Oil etc.

- Supervise electrical works and maintenance & repair work of Kitchen & Home Appliances and Laundry Machineries.
- Review and evaluate design electrical wiring drawing, as built drawing (Electrical and Electronics part) and material submittals for approval to hotel director and give comments / recommendation and action codes to the submitted items.
- Assist in coordinating the work between the Sub-contractor and end user in order to expedite the successful completion of the project.
- Conduct inspections of electrical works and materials.
- Supervise Fire Alarm system, C.C.TV cameras, PABX (Telephone system) Control Panels, Standby Generators and communicate and follow-up with the concern sub contractor when ever service/repair work is required.
