APPOINTMENT OF CONSULTANT

Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals(PC Division) requires
services of one outside expert/retired Government Officer for
appointment as CONSULTANT with the following job description,

Educational Qualification and Experience :-
(a) Educational Qualification :
M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry/Chemistry) or
B.Tech. (Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology)
Desirable : M.Tech. (Chemical Engineering/Chemical
Technology) or Ph.D. in Chemistry
(b) EXPERIENCE : 20 years of working in a senior capacity in
the Petrochemical sector, with minimum 15 years experience of working
in the Government.

DURATION : Candidate selected will be appointed on contract
basis for an initial period of one year. This term can be extended up to 3
years depending on the performance of the candidate/need of the
department. However, the maximum duration of the contract will in no
case go beyond 5 years.

AGE LIMIT : The maximum age limit shall be 65 years.

FEE : The consolidated fee shall be Rs.50,000/- per month.

- Currently I am working with “ORIENTAL CARBON & CHEMICALS LTD.” at Mundra SEZ as a “Shift Engineer” since Nov-2010 for project. OCCL basically engaged in manufacturing insoluble sulfur which is highly demanded by Tyre Industries. OCCL is only a manufacturer in India for Insoluble Sulfur from petroleum product raw sulfur with capacity of 24000 MTPA and 100% EOU unit. Using solvent recovery process, extraction process, drying process, Distillation, absorption process, desorption process, chilling unit, PSA unit, Water Softening unit.
Previous Employer
- Previously I was worked with "RIDDHI SIDDHI GLUCO BIOLS LTD”.at viramgam unit as a Chemical Engineer since APR 2009 to OCT-2010. Where I have gain valuable knowledge in the field of Reactor, Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger, Plate type Heat Exchanger, Pressure Leaf Filter, Steeping process, Size reduction, Separation process, Evaporation Process (Single, Double, Triple Effect), Ion exchange, Spray Dryer, Cooling tower, Tube bundle dryer, Rotary dryer, Flash dryer, Pneumatic Dryer, Ion exchange, Hydraulic system, thickener, Hydro Cyclone, Cyclone System.
- Also work with "DHRANGADHRA CHEMICALS WORKS LTD." at surendranagar in soda industries and solvey process as a Trainee Process Engineer since AUG 2008 to MAR-2009. Where I have achieve valuable knowledge of distillation column, absorber tower, rotary vacuum filter, Manufacturing of Saturated Salt Solution, scrubber, lime kiln, Shell and tube heat exchanger, Plate type heat exchanger.
Job profile .
- I have acquired below mentioned skills during my work experience.
- Working on 100% EOU Project.
- Presently working on execution of YOKOGAWA DCS “CS-3000” in Project. I have handled the project from civil side as well as maintenance side Related Activities from using P&ID diagram and Civil, Mechanical and Architructural drawing, G.A.Drawing of equipment.
- Supervise a project ensuring cost effective utilization of contractor.
- Provide executive management with documentation of project progress.
- Monitoring of All Unit Process, Unit Operation in Plant.
- Communication, coordination & assisting subordinates in production process with yield & quality.
- Jobs on shut down like as Distillate change and cleaning, absorption Equipment cleaning, packing change etc.
- Responsible for safe start-up, shut down & emergency handling related to operations.
- Co-ordination with various maintenance departments to trouble shoot plant problems and take back the unit to normal condition.
- Co-coordinating Various utility department like Boiler people for steam distribution, modification for process improvement
- Monitoring and Control of Critical Process Parameters to keep Plant under normal running condition.
- Preparation of Daily / Weekly Production Report.
- Manpower handling in shift.
- Plant start up and shutdown.
- Prepare & Issue work permits for maintenance and eraction work.
- Monitor Sampling schedule and take necessary actions for Quality control
- Responsible for plant and manpower safety during shift duty.
Training .
- One Month in plant training at "DHRANGADHRA CHEMICAL WORKS LTD.", at Surendranagar, Gujarat in Soda Ash Division during Dec’06-07.
- One Month in plant training at "GUJARAT SIDHEE CEMENT LTD." Sidhee Gram Sutapada during June 2007.
IT Skills .
- Basic knowledge of MS-Office & Internet.
