Job Overview :
The New Media Editor is expected to work in the following areas :
* Lead the conceptualization and development of new media products - including portals, blogs, podcasts, websites, online videos and social networking services.
* Manage the new media related content - plan / commission / write / edit / uploads for SAITA sites and e-newsletters.
* The position requires experience in managing content for a website and understanding of how to use content to engage users.
* Understand and engage with the various stakeholders in the space and respond actively to key trends of the marketplace.
* NME will have solid team management experience backed by strong editorial experience.
* Excellent presentation skills are essential for representing the company at key events, trade shows and conferences.
* NME will maintain and develop relationships with key advertisers, industry groups and thought leaders.
* NME will work closely with editorial and consulting teams, to set and approve editorial direction of various online and new media initiatives.
* The person will engage actively to drive additional revenue opportunities - via special reports in print and on-line, educational programs, web casts, and other unique publishing ideas.

Desired Profile :
* A graduate degree is a must
* At least two years of relevant industry experience.
* A post graduate from a respected institution in a related discipline.
