Project : Regenerative Suspension System Feb 09 – Apr 09

Project Description :
A type of shock absorber which is an enclosed device capable of converting intermittent linear motion and vibrations encountered under normal urban driving conditions to a useful energy, such as electricity, where as the conventional shock absorbers simply dissipate this energy as heat. When used in an electric vehicle or hybrid electric vehicle the electricity generated by the shock absorber can be diverted to its power train to increase battery life. In non-electric vehicles the electricity can be used for powering vehicles accessories such as air conditioning.
Tools Used : AUTOCAD2000, CATIAv5, ANSYS, Hypermesh.
Mini Project : Hell’s Angel – A model bike from scrap. May 09
Role : Designer, Analyzer and developer.

Project Description :
Hell’s Angel was a model of a bike, prepared completely from scrap materials. I designed a model of a bike without the use of any tool. We collected two gears, inlet and outlet valves, coil spring, GI pipe, MS rods and screw jack rods etc parts from a junk yard in weight basis. As per the design we welded all parts and gave finishing. Then we painted it with spray paint. We also exhibited this model in a SAE Exfoliate Exhibition 2009 at BLDEA CET, Bijapur.
TECHNICAL PRESENTATIONS
- Presented papers in National level competition on “Cryogenic Technology” organized by Hulkoti College of Engineering & Technology, Hulkoti, Gadag.
- Won 2nd prize in SAE State Level Paper Presentation competition on “Fuel Cell Vehicle”, held at MCE Hassan.
- Participated in 3 state level Paper presentation competitions.

- I was member of “SAE INDIA” Collegiate chapter ‘Autoknights’, BLDEA’s CET, Bijapur.
- I am member of SAE Collegiate Chapter ‘Chevaliers’, PESIT, Bangalore.
