Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a term used to describe a system that transmits the identity of an object or person wirelessly, using radio waves. The main goal of an RFID system is to retrieve the data through a wireless connection .RFID based guard patrolling system contains handheld RFID reader which can be easily carried by guards in security systems. Whenever employees enter or exit the organization, tag is read by the reader and the information like employee name and the time of entry and exit is gathered. A database is used to store the information gained through interrogating the tag.
Hardware : Microcontroller 8051 Core, Alphanumeric LCD, EEPROM, RFID module, RS232, PC.
Software : ORCAD Embedded C, IDE Keil.
