I did my summer internship at Pantaloons Retail India Ltd for 45 days period (from 15 June 2009 to 31July 2009) whereby I performed various roles and responsibilities:
- To assist the Sales Personnel on the floor
- Spent few days with the Marketing Manager and learned various marketing strategies adopted by the company
- Got opportunity to learn few facts and details about In-warding and Out-warding of stock

Project undertaken:
“A study on Perception of customers about 5 retail stores in New Delhi”
- To compare Pantaloons with other stores under the Lifestyle segment
- To find out the best store among the 5 stores on the basis of product and service quality
- To suggest means of improving “shoppers experience” by enhancing the deliverable parameters

2. FINAL PROJECT:
“Financial Statement analysis of Oriental Bank Of Commerce before and after merger with Global Trust Bank Ltd.”
Description:
I have used CAMEL Model and Event Study analysis in order to reach certain conclusions.
- To access the financial performance of Bank before and after the merger world renowned CAMEL Model was used. Apart from this, the study also considers the test of hypothesis by selecting the student t-test for measuring the performance.
- In order to conduct Event Study for analyzing the impact on share prices, the CAR was calculated and T-Test was applied in order to reach certain conclusions.
