Minimum Qualification : Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering

a) SPV Module Division - (MST/ENG. - SM) : Must have knowledge and experience in manufacturing SPV Modules as per MNRE / UL / TUV / IEC 61215.

b) SPV System Division - (MST / ENG. - SD) : Must have experience in introducing new SPV Systems.

c) Ancillary Division - (MST / ENG. - AD) : Experience in the development of Electronics such as Regulators, Inverters, Converters, and Charge Controllers of medium and high power rating, tubular plate batteries is desired.

d) Thermal Division : Must have sound knowledge of manufacturing of Single / Double Glazed Flat Plate Collectors & BOS.

Experience : 3-4 years in relevant field

ABOUT ONE YEAR POWER PLANT TRAINING:-
National power training Institute(NPTI) is National Apex Body on HRD in Power sector under the ministry of Power , Government of India . NPTI established in 1980 to cater the training needs of power sector is conferred with “Best Training & HRD Institute of the Millennium Year” awarded by NAFEN (National Foundation of Indian Engineers).
As our institute is conducting 1 year PGDC (power engineering) course, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) and affiliated to National Power Training Institute ,Government of India ,Ministry of Power with an objective to create a pool of trained man power for the power sector. This 1 year course includes all theoretical and practical aspects inall areas of power plant. The students successfully completing this program will be able to operate Thermal Power Plant (including captive power plants & More than 100MW).

Electrical power is the most important input for development and progress of any country, Government of India has been endeavouring to increase installed Power Generating Capacity
continuously to maintain an annual growth rate of 9%.The installed generating capacity of our country as on 31st January,2009 is 1, 47,000 MW. It is proposed to add 78,800 MW during the 11th Five Year Plan. Therefore the installed capacity at the end of the 11th Five Year Plan would be more than 200000 MW

National Power Training Institute (NPTI), the national apex body under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has been engaged in the service of Human Resources Development in the country’s power sector since 1965 These

Institutes are conducting a number of training programs for Power Engineers, Operators and Technicians in the areas of Thermal & Hydro Generation and Power System. To provide off-job/hands on operation training, NPTI is equipped with three computerized full scope, fossil fuel Thermal Power Plant Simulators. Two such Hi-tech training Simulators of 210 MW thermal power units are available at Badarpur and Nagpur institutes and a 500 MW Simulator at Faridabad. NPTI also provides consultancy to the Utilities on training and technical problems including setting up of Plant Level/State Level Training Institutes. The Regional Institutes

these institutes are also conducting on plant/on-site training programmes as per the need of the Power Sector organizations. Since inception near by 1, 40,000 personnel of various
levels have been imparted training by the Institutes of NPTI. The main aim of the course is to create a pool of technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment to the State,
Central and Private Power Utilities and allied Industry etc. All these organizations shall obviously prefer these trained Graduate Engineers. This PG diploma satisfies the mandatory requirement of Indian Electricity (Amendment) Rules, 1981, which stipulates that “No person shall be authorized to operate or undertake maintenance of any part or whole of generating station of capacity of 100 MW and above together with associated sub-station unless he is adequately qualified and has undergone the specified training at a recognised institute”.
